Signs you may have sleep apnea:
- Daytime Fatigue/Daytime Sleepiness
- Falling sleep while driving
- Memory Loss and Difficulty Concentrating (Fog)
- Moodiness and Irritability
- Type 2 Diabetes
- High Blood Pressure
- Morning Headaches
If you have any of these, it is likely that you have sleep apnea. Typically this is tested in an unfamiliar sleep center, in an unfamiliar bed, with a restroom used by other patients and staff. The room temperature is out of your control as are sounds that come from other patients and staff. Many patients feel that their sleep lab experience isn’t an accurate picture of their sleep at home.
This test can be used as:
- a diagnostic sleep study to test for sleep disorders such as sleep apnea.
- to test the effectiveness of any oral appliance you have for treating snoring and sleep apnea.
- test the effectiveness of any surgical procedures you have had for the treatment of sleep apnea such as a mandibular advancement surgery, UPPP, or LAUP.
Physician Referral/Order may be required. We’re happy to help you obtain the order from your physician. Just ask! Please email referrals to email@example.com, or Fax referrals to (916) 266-7504 using this form: AXG Referral Form (Printable)

Note: Payment due prior to service. An itemized insurance compliant claim form will be provided to you. We will arrange to have you come into our office to have electrodes attached by a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist for your sleep study only if you live in the Sacramento Area. Otherwise, you will have to attach the electrodes yourself. We provide clear, easy to follow instructions as well as a video.

Worried you won’t be able to attach the electrodes? This video is for fun, but also shows the process a little more in depth. The video shows the attachment for our Type 2 study. This Type 3 study doesn’t include any of the electrodes on the face or body. The real video and instructions are much more detailed. It takes most people about 5 with no prior experience. It’s a very straightforward process.
